As a school-based therapist, a large part of my work is assisting adolescents in developing a deeper understanding of emotional awareness and identifying healthy coping skills. It is my belief that providing a safe and validating environment can empower clients to explore issues related to self-esteem, identity, and their relationships with others and themselves.
I have worked with individuals struggling with self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, grief and loss, and anger management. Most often, I utilize CBT and DBT-oriented approaches with clients, focusing on emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and communication skills.
I am currently pre-licensed and in pursuit of my LPCC, practicing under the supervision of Ann Ingwalson, PsyD, LADC, LPCC, DBTC
I earned my master’s degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.
