I believe in empowering individuals, families, and communities by creating a safe and nurturing environment to explore thoughts, feelings, emotions, and navigating through life’s challenges. My clinical interests include working with children, adolescents, parents, caregivers, BIPOC and people with disabilities with challenges in anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodiversity, life adjustments, and grief and loss. I am committed to collaborate with individuals and families to recognize strengths and capabilities to strive for a healthier lifestyle. This also includes collaborating with providers, school personnels, and other individuals included in a support system. I utilize a person-center approach with a mix of cognitive-behavioral framework while integrating mindfulness-based and multicultural technique as well as use play-based approaches with children.
I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the State of Minnesota. I received my Bachelor of Arts from the University of St. Thomas and Master of Science in Clinical Psychology at Capella University. I have experience in working in mental health for over 10 years working in a variety of settings including providing services in a day program and hospital to children, adolescents, young adults, and adults with disabilities. I have given community presentations on topics of mental health, toddler regulation, and parenting approaches.
I am a mom who loves spending time with my family through traveling, gaming, cooking, and learning new skills together. I enjoy creating art including music, drawing, photography, graphic designing, and other mediums of art.
