DEI Coordinator, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Location: St. Paul, Telehealth and/or In-Person Options
Pronouns: She/Her
I use a whole person approach to therapy and believe that we are more than the problems, mistakes, and challenges that we have experienced in our lives. I believe that using this approach integrates well with the system-based approaches of solution-focused therapy and narrative therapy.
All too often we hear messages that we are “not enough” because of who we are, what we look like, and/or where we come from. As a result, many of us internalize these messages. I work with folks to rewrite their narratives that are more aligned with who they want to be, emphasizing balance and self-care.
As the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Coordinator, my lens is heavily influenced by DEI and cultural awareness and sensitivity. It not only influences my therapeutic work, but I also facilitate training inside and outside Natalis using this lens.
I am a board-approved supervisor for pre-licensed marriage and family therapist candidates, pre-licensed professional counselor candidates, and pre-licensed professional clinical counselors candidates. I also supervise Master’s level graduate students during their practicum and internship. I am trained in reflective supervision. I am a Prepare/Enrich Facilitator. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and received my Master’s of Science from Capella University.
My hobbies include: sewing, quilting, painting, gardening, baking, being creative, travelling, and spending time with my family.
