About Kathryn

Pronouns: She/Her

I hold a Master’s of Social Work from St. Thomas University/University of St. Catherine Social Work and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota. I have been working both supportively and therapeutically with adolescents from all walks of life in therapeutic settings for 25+ years. This time in one’s life can often be difficult to manage in the best of times, but there can be so many other complexities that can make it even more difficult to navigate and adjust. I have had training and education in CBT, attachment, and trauma informed therapeutic interventions and find that this has helped me be of great support during this time.

I am a client-centered therapist, meeting youth where they are at and help challenge perceptions that influence their behaviors and choices helping them move along in their stage of change. I use different modalities depending on the needs of the client as I walk with them on their path towards stability, healing, and increased resilience. With me clients will discuss, learn, and practice different strategies and techniques to find the right tools for their individualized tool box, helping them to focus and learn to manage anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, school failure, and trauma.

Working with adolescents has kept me young at heart. I love cats, coffee, and books. In my free time I stream British crime series and spend time with my kids, family, and friends to recharge.
