I believe therapy should be catered to the unique needs of each individual. With my clients, I use a person-centered approach with a focus on skill development; I apply a non-pathologizing lens, especially in my work with neurodivergent individuals– recognizing real pain and distress while celebrating unique personalities and perspectives. My clients range from adolescents to young adults, as well as children and their caregivers; these include individuals with autism, ADHD, OCD, Borderline Personality Disorder, anxiety, depression, complex trauma and adjustment problems; additionally, I see individuals who are managing chronic medical conditions and those with a range of developmental delays. I became a Dialectical Behavioral Therapist in 2022 and currently co-lead a DBT skills group at our Natalis 18+ DBT program. I have a special interest in working with individuals who view therapy as a long-term commitment, building insight from current and past experiences, while exploring evolving values and priorities. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota, with a master’s degree from the University of Minnesota and have been with Natalis since 2021. I grew up in a bicultural household and continue to celebrate many aspects of my Latin culture. I speak Spanish fluently, with roots in Veracruz, Mexico, and here in the Twin Cities.
