What is telemental health?
Telemental Health is simply mental health treatment using a HIPAA compliant, interactive video and audio platform that allows Minnesota based patients to meet for counseling with a therapist through a computer camera/smartphone or tablet. Once the initial in-person assessment appointment has been completed, the therapist and patient can determine whether therapy with telemental health would be of benefit.
How can telementalhealth help?
Therapy with telehealth can be useful when transportation is difficult, for example, for weather or medical reasons, or when you’re located a distance away from the office. Patients can also save time by eliminating travel time in going to therapy sessions. Whatever the reason, telemental health counseling can provide a convenient option for continuing or starting therapy sessions with one of our providers.
