Vanessa Schulte, M.S.W, LICSW, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Minnesota. She provides counseling services to children, teens, young adults and their families. Vanessa enjoys working with youth who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief or loss, substance abuse, stress, self-harming behavior and trauma-related suffering. She works hard supporting families as they reduce conflict and learn to communicate more effectively. Vanessa integrates a range of therapies when working with her clients, depending on what each person needs. Her psychotherapy is relationship-based and incorporates a focus on the strengths of each person. Prior to becoming a social worker, Vanessa worked in a county court diversion program helping youth and families realize their strengths and build positive futures.
Vanessa also has experience working with victims of domestic violence, and children with severe emotional and behavioral disorders. Vanessa earned her Master of Social Work degree at Augsburg College, and her Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. She also is a founding member of the Suicide Prevention Collaborative in Washington County and is a certified QPR Suicide Prevention Gatekeeper Instructor.
