Toni is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with 15 years’ experience working with clients in community based, inpatient and outpatient settings. Toni received her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology & Human Services from Buena Vista University and her Master’s in Science in Professional Community Counseling & Marriage and Family Therapy from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Toni is passionate about creating safe, supportive and nonjudgmental space for folks along their journey. Seeing Toni for therapy, clients can expect a therapist who is down to earth and brings authentic self to session. Someone who is curious, straight forward yet gentle, honest, genuine and has a great sense of humor. Toni’s ideal client is an individual who sees vulnerability as courage, finds value in openness, transparency and humor. Toni works with adolescents, young adults and adults into later stages in life and specializes in trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, substance use, co-occurring disorders, grief and loss, transitions, interpersonal and relational challenges. Toni’s therapeutic techniques include: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered, experiential, solution focused, systems and attachment theories. Toni is trained in trauma modalities of Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) & Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).
