Sarah Giacobbe, MEd, is a doctoral psychology intern from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, department of School Psychology. She has worked in several schools in Chicago providing school psychology services and is thrilled to participate in an internship in a clinical setting to round out her experiences. Sarah has experience with psychoeducational assessments to determine special education eligibility, co-facilitated skills groups, and taught social-emotional learning curriculums to elementary students. She works with teens, young adults, and parents to address the challenges related to anxiety, ADHD, stress management, and stressful life transitions. She also has a particular interest in working with individuals from refugee and immigrant backgrounds.
Sarah earned her M.Ed at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Chicago Campus, and her B.A. from The University of Toledo in Ohio. In her free time, Sarah enjoys traveling, reading about fashion and interior design, taking her dog on long walks, and spending time with her husband exploring the Twin Cities.
Sarah sees clients at the University Ave., Woodbury, Child and Teen Medical Center – Fridley and Blaine locations. She is supervised by Dr. Robin McLeod, Ph.D., LP, and Rita Sandidge, Ph.D.
