Everrett Moore, MS (he/him) is a Mental Health practitioner and Doctoral Psychology Intern working under the supervision of Rita Sandidge, PhD, LP. He had the following to say about his experience and practice.
“I strongly believe that a therapeutic relationship operates best in an environment of mutual respect, care, and commitment. To that end, I will always strive to maintain a place in which people’s intersecting identities will be valued and respected. By basing our therapeutic space on these values, I hope that you will feel seen, heard, and ready to begin the work of healing.”
Everrett works with adults (18+) and couples across a wide range of presenting concerns, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, identity struggles, life transitions, and interpersonal distress. Everrett also works to bring attention to matters of equity and social justice, particularly those involving traditionally marginalized communities (BIPOC, LGBTQ+, etc.). Through a person-centered approach with an ear to underlying patterns in an individual’s story, Everrett strives to help clients better connect with themselves, others, and the values they hold dear.
Everrett earned his Masters degree in Psychology from the University of North Texas where he is now a doctoral candidate for a PhD in Clinical Psychology. He earned his Bachelors degree in Psychology from Sam Houston State University. He is a part of the Association for the Psychoanalysis of Culture and Society, Psi Chi International Honor Society, and the American Psychological Association (Division 45 – Study of Race, Ethnicity, and Culture; Division 9 – Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues; Division 43 – The Society for Couple and Family Psychology).
