Education & Professional Activities
Elaina Hamann, MA, is a Mental Health Practitioner in Minnesota and is currently pursing her LPCC under the supervision of Robin McLeod, PhD, LP. Elaina incorporates a person-center approach, providing multicultural counseling and trauma-informed care in her work with clients. She believes an individual’s unique experience shapes what support and healing looks like for them. Elaina works with folks ages eleven and up who have challenges with trauma, depression, anxiety, stress management, identity development, grief, and life transitions.
Elaina received her Masters of Arts in Counseling and Psychological Services at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Her internship experience was working with survivors of sexual assault and helping them to process their trauma and to develop healthy coping skills. Her undergraduate degree was in Education and Social Studies from Hamline University. Elaina’s education background allows her to understand the complexities of a school environment and how it can impact an individual.
Elaina sees clients at the Woodbury location and at Edgewood Middle School, and in the School-Linked Program. Elaina is supervised by Dr. Robin McLeod, PhD, LP.
