Education & Professional Activities
Brie Marion, PsyD, LP is a Licensed Psychologist with experience working with children, families and adults. She partners with clients to help them move in the direction of living the life they want to live. Dr. Marion recognizes that the main healing factor in therapy is the relationship. As such, she focuses on meeting clients where they are and incorporating her knowledge of interpersonal neurobiology, child development, family dynamics and physiological stress responses in order to move in the direction of a more whole-hearted life. For some, this looks like talking, problem-solving and learning. With others, this looks like using play, movement, music and art as modes of healing.
Dr. Marion enjoys working with families and supporting caregivers in understanding what gets in the way of caring for those they love. In working with children and teens, she also works with parents and caregivers to connect with their children and strengthen the family as a whole. Dr. Marion has extensive training in the treatment of trauma across the lifespan. She uses Somatic Experiencing, a body-oriented approach to healing trauma and restoring health and flexibility within the nervous system. Dr. Marion also has training in experiential play therapy, interpersonal neurobiology and healing relational trauma. She holds certifications in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Earning a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Minnesota School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Dr. Marion has worked in community mental health clinics, neuropsychology services, and adolescent partial hospitalization programs. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, relaxing with her dog, running, and discovering new coffee shops.
