Dr. Brent Haagenson is a Licensed Psychologist providing individual psychotherapy and psychological assessment for adolescents and adults at the Natalis Woodbury location both in person and via telehealth.
Many individuals seek therapy or assessment in a state of crisis, searching to understand their pain. Dr. Haagenson believes that collaborative psychological work can help individuals identify not just an understanding to their suffering – but a sense of motivation, value, and purpose from which to begin a life worth living.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Haagenson is a professional singer in the Twin Cities area frequently performing with professional choral groups and his district champion barbershop quartet. Dr. Haagenson can frequently be found training for his next marathon, trying his hand at oil painting, singing karaoke, enjoying East Asian food, or exploring his home neighborhood of Northeast Minneapolis with Bella the pitbull.
Therapeutic Orientation: Dr. Haagenson uses an integrated therapeutic approach influenced by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic-Psychoanalytic Theory, and Twelve Step Facilitation (TSF). He also uses health psychology and spiritually integrated psychotherapy techniques.
