Education & Professional Activities
Andrea Hidlebaugh, MSW, LICSW, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Minnesota. She works with children, teens, adults and families, viewing each individual and family as unique, and working collaboratively to identify not only areas of need and challenge, but also the strengths and goals that can lead to positive change. She works with people of all ages who are struggling with a broad range of concerns including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, and stressful life transitions.
Andrea has extensive experience with individuals and family members of loved ones who struggle with chronic medical conditions including physical, mental, behavioral and chemical health issues. Her primary goal is to increase effective communication, self-esteem, stress management, symptom recognition and management, as well as to reduce relationship conflict, and self-injurious behaviors and thinking. She draws from evidence-based practice in cognitive-behavioral therapy, a strengths-based and solution-focused approach, and mindfulness and emotion regulation strategies, creating an individualized treatment plan that supports a more positive and healthy life for her clients. Andrea completed a Master of Social Work degree from the University of St. Catherine, and has worked in both community-based and hospital settings for over 15 years.
Andrea sees clients at the Woodbury location and at Central Pediatrics in Woodbury.
