The intervention is family based and designed to support caregivers who are parenting young children with early adversity such as medical issues, trauma histories, and/or child protection involvement. It is also designed to serve children who have families struggling with mental illness and substance use disorders. Coping Cat is an evidenced based intervention for children ages seven through thirteen-years-old struggling with anxiety disorders. Our clinic delivers Coping Cat to children alongside their parents to help parents learn skills to support their children’s struggles with anxiety.
Exposure Response Prevention is an evidenced based intervention for children ages 5 to 17 that treats symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorders and phobias. This treatment requires parent involvement to support exposure activities and to generalize skills learned in treatment.
